ESAND
CONSTITUTION |
| ARTICLE I: NAME |
| The name of the
organization shall be Educational Secretaries Association of North
Dakota and it shall be a division of the North Dakota Council of
School Administrators. |
| ARTICLE II:
MISSION |
| The mission of the
Educational Secretaries Association of North Dakota is to provide
in-service training, share problems and possible solutions, and to
work toward the provision of an effective and efficient service to
the school and the community. |
| ARTICLE III:
MEMBERSHIP |
| Section 1:
Membership in the Educational Secretaries Association of North
Dakota (ESAND) shall be for all secretaries to the members of the
North Dakota Council of School Administrators and other
secretaries employed by school districts or employed in education. |
| Section 2:
Members in good standing shall be entitled to vote, be members of
the Steering Committee, and to participate in discussion at the
meetings of ESAND. |
| Section 3:
Membership in ESAND shall be terminated by non-payment of dues or
by resignation. |
| ARTICLE IV:
GOVERNANCE |
Section 1:
ESAND shall be governed by a Steering Committee of five members
(four regional representatives and the fifth member being the
Administrative Assistant of NDCEL), two to be elected each year.
Terms of office will be two years. No member may serve more than
two consecutive terms.
The Steering Committee members will assume their duties
immediately after the NDCEL Fall Conference and work in
conjunction with the Board of Directors of the NDCEL. The
Administrative Assistant of the NDCEL shall assume the position of
Treasurer. The Treasurer's position is not an elected position. |
| ARTICLE V:
AMENDMENTS |
| Amendments to the
constitution may be proposed in writing by any member. Proposed
amendments are to be submitted in writing to the NDCEL
Administrative Assistant. Such amendment(s) shall become a part of
the constitution when adopted by a majority vote of the members
present at the Fall Conference and the Board of Directors of
NDCEL. |
